What is a Support Group? Who Might benefit?
Where can I find one?
The answers to these questions may prove helpful to you and your
family in the months ahead. A support group is a self-help group run by and
for people who have common problems or life situation. One of the benefits of
a support group is that it provides a place where one can talk with other
people who have had a similar experience. The realization that you are not
alone can be a great comfort. People in support groups can learn solutions
from each other, new ways of coping and new reasons for hoping.
