Byron Giovanni Marroquin-Alvarez, a beloved father, grandfather, son and friend passed away on Saturday, April 9th 2022. He was 53 years old and passed away peacefully in his Leonia, NJ home.

Byron was born in Guatemala City, Guatemala on September 1st, 1968, to the union of Lidia Alvarez and his late father Manuel Marroquin. He was the oldest brother of four younger siblings: Maribel, Marlon, Alma and Jasmin, as well as the beloved cousin of many. As well as his three grandchildren: Olivia, Anastasia and Brody, who lovingly referred to him as "Grandpa Donuts" or "Pops." He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of relatives and friends who will always remember him for his treasured sense of humor, esteemed work ethic and immeasurable acts of kindness. His heart was truly made of gold.

Guestbook

  1. The world didn’t deserve a man like you, yet we were lucky enough to be blessed in your presence for approximately fifty three years. Your generosity and selflessness was overwhelming and constant, yet now that you’re gone sometimes I wish you were a bit selfish in an attempt to find your own happiness. I love you. I miss you. But I know you are now free. I just wish you could’ve seen how much I was trying to help you spread your wings and fly the entire time you were here. You are strong and you are loved. Always. I love you forever papa. <3
