Charles Genjian
September 19, 1925 – May 20, 2017

Charles Genjian born September 19, 1925 at Bellevue Hospital New York City. He was of immigrant parents who were able to survive the Armenian Genocide, who moved to New York City and bought property at 337 E 33rd Street.

He served in the US ARMY in Psychological Warfare at the end of World War II.

A faithful member of The Armenian Apostolic Church, he met his wife Grace Sarajian in the church choir.

They married November 13, 1949. Moved to New Jersey in 1950 and in November 1956 built a house in Fort Lee, NJ residing there until his passing.

He raised two sons, Jeffrey of New York City and Brian of Dallas, TX. He leaves his daughter-in-law Laura Genjian wife of Brian and four grandchildren, Brian, Megan, Lena, and Mary Grace.

For the past thirty years, he was an active swimmer at the JCC in Tenafly, NJ. He will be missed by all.

The family will receive their friends on Tuesday May 23 from 5-9 pm with a memorial service at 8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”.

All are asked to assemble Wednesday 10:30 am Saint Leon's Armenian Church for his religious service.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Saint Leon’s Armenian Church or Holy Cross Armenian Church.
