Donald Porrino
November 14, 1942 ~ July 2, 2017
Porrino, Donald "Donny", 74, a lifelong resident of Fort Lee, on July 2, 2017. He was the Department Head of the Englewood Building Department and served in his career as a Zoning Officer and Building Inspector in many towns. Donny always believed in giving back to the community that he was born and raised in, some of the ways he did this were his serving in the Fort Lee Volunteer Fire Department, Company #4, rising to Fire Chief of the Fort Lee Volunteer Fire Department, Building Inspector of Fort Lee, Construction Official of Englewood, Vice President of Building Inspector Association of New Jersey, past President and Councilman of Fort Lee, First Chairman of the Fort Lee Sign Committee, Member of the Planning Board of Fort Lee and also of the Board Adjustment. Beloved husband of Jacqueline nee: Ballerini and the late Marilyn nee: Eckmayer. Devoted father of Kenneth and his wife Dawn Porrino, Mark and his wife Michele Porrino, Joseph and his wife Marygrace Branda, and Kristi and her husband Trevor Marcotte. Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Victoria, Joseph, Michael, Joseph, and Luca. Dear brother of Robert and Ralph Porrino. He loved hunting with his dogs, golfing, fishing and boating with his family and his 5:00 glass of wine. The family will receive their friends on Wednesday 7-9 pm and Thursday 3-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Friday at 10:30 am for the celebration for his funeral mass at 11 am in Madonna RCC.
