May 13, 1958 ~ February 12, 2021

Elizabeth A. Scanlon, Esq., “Liz,” age 62 of Mahwah, NJ, formerly of Leonia, passed peacefully on Friday February 12, 2021 surrounded by her loving family after a brave battle with cancer, which she approached with great strength and courage to the very end. Beloved wife of Paul Eiman; Devoted daughter of Marie V. Scanlon (nee: Pully) and the late John R. Scanlon; Cherished sister of the late Robert Scanlon, Eileen Walton, Nancy Talarico, Jim Scanlon and wife Cindy; Loving aunt to Kimberly, Marie, Emily, Sean & Cate; Adored great aunt to Ryan, Aiden, Alexa & Evan.

A graduate of Leonia High School, Elizabeth attended Fairleigh Dickinson University where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree, and then went on to receive a Juris Doctor degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Cleveland, OH. Elizabeth embraced every aspect of the law, and her passion for it was reflected in her career, which was filled with honesty, integrity, and determination. She was appointed to the Ohio Supreme Court, then went on to practice in New Jersey and New York.

Liz had a great flare for life. She had a passion for travel, and her home is filled with photographs from the many trips she and Paul took all over the United States and Europe. Besides traveling, Liz loved the arts, enjoying Broadway shows and the ballet.

Above all, Elizabeth truly cherished her family. Our dear Elizabeth will be truly missed beyond what words alone can not express. Our beautiful and beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and friend will live on in our hearts forever…we all miss and love you for always and forever.
