Frances Laura Treadwell Hoyos, lovingly known to many as Cealy, passed away on October 10, 2023, at the age of 61 in Homestead, Florida. Born on November 7, 1961, in Englewood, NJ, she served as the parish secretary for Holy Rosary Church in Edgewater, NJ, until 2017.

Frances’ love for life and her family was evident in the fun-loving things she did to bring joy to those around her, including trips to her happy place, Disney, baking cookies, apple and pumpkin picking, and spending precious time with her loved ones. Her playful spirit and the countless memories she created will be cherished and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Frances is survived by her daughter Rosalie Jean Hoyos (since deceased on August 17, 2024), son Danny Hoyos, grandson Eros Hoyos of Edgewater, NJ, sister Rosalie Jacob and family of Elmwood Park, NJ, niece Florence de Vera and family of Ridgewood, NJ, devoted companion Jason Callan of Edgewater, NJ, as well as a host of loving friends and relatives.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held on September 21, 2024, at 1 pm at Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main Street, Fort Lee, NJ (opposite the Fort Lee Library). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the ASPCA in Frances’ honor, reflecting her lifelong love and compassion for animals, especially her beloved dog, Sasha.
