October 25, 1932 ~ July 17, 2018

DeCarlo, Fiorvante, (Fred) age 85, of St. Petersburg, Fl., on July 17, 2018. The old-time Italian Knife Sharper's wheel has stopped! Fred DeCarlo has passed away. Born and raised in Palisades Park, NJ 10/25/32 by parents Antonio & Rose. A Beloved husband to loyal wife Janet always at his side, Father to adoring sons Darren, Fred & Tony. A Beloved brother to sisters Angela, May, Lucy, Ben (Dominick), Nicholas, Visidor. A Beloved grandfather to Samantha and the late Joey DeCarlo. Uncle to Nikki Russo, the DeCarlo's, Taffano's, Melillo's, Ginnintonio's. A kind and loyal friend to many, Joe, George, Ostuni, Nick DeCarlo, Arty and countless others. A helpful man to family, extended family, and friends. A man of great integrity, honesty and of course hard work! A world traveler with his beloved wife Janet who encouraged him to see the world (although he protested). Heralded by the NYTimes often as the "NYC Neighborhood Knife Sharpener" and many other publications. Served honorably during the Korean War era, returning to Great Bear Spring Water as a sales/deliveryman, real estate salesman, and knife sharpener. Never afraid to take a risk, and always willing to share his wisdom.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to his late grandson's charity: https://joeyscharityfund.org/donate

  2. OUR DAD OUR FATHER

Our Dad, Our father was one never to forget, A man like our Dad was one of a few, hard working, loving, giving, funny, social, responsible and always willing to lend a hand.

God Gave our Dad a family to love and take care of , Our dad did that so well.
God gave our Family a man to love and be proud of which we all did and thanked God for Our Dad's time with us.

Our Dad entered heaven welcomed by his Grandson Joey, our Dad's family members and friends that left him some so long ago and some not so long ago

Most of all our Dad saw how his family made his final day's so loving and his passing days even more loving.
Our dad is proud of us all.

Our Dad will never be missed because he will be with us every day and there will not be a day that passes that we are not with him and think of our Dad

We love you our Dad our Father, keep God's knives sharp, No Charge he gave you us and gave us you. No Charge Dad for him.
