Gary J Dottino, age 79, of Manahawkin passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024. Gary was born on October 10, 1945 in Englewood to Virginia and Joseph Dottino. Gary was a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. Gary fought tooth and nail with his illness for many years. Although sick it never stopped Gary visiting Atlantic City with Lillian, his wife, where he enjoyed playing Keno. Gary took the time to help those around him, he was a helper to all. This led him to a career in law enforcement, where he retired as a Bergen County Sheriff Officer in 1999.
Gary is survived by his wife, Lillian of 36 years, two son’s Scott and Chris, two grandchildren Nathaniel and Anastasia, steps daughters Lisa and Dawn, nieces and nephews. Gary sadly also preceded his only daughter, Stacey who tragically passed away at the age of 5.
Gary was a man who loved being around all his loved ones. Each year his son Scott hosted a yearly family BBQ reunion. Gary got to see his family and friends, always smiling, laughing, telling stories. Gary will be welcomed with open arms when met at the gates of heaven.
