Mitsakos, Helen, G. nee: Gillas, age 90, of Fort Lee, on Monday November 20, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Mitsakos, loving mother to Pamela Mitsakos, Bessie Mitsakos and husband Robert Lenahan, son Lee and wife Debbie Mitsakos. Loving Godmother to Tasso Lakas . Helen was born in New York, New York to George and Panagoula Gillas and was a teacher who owned and operated The Jack and Jill Preschool in Fort Lee for many years. She later worked at the Kaplan JCC on the Palisades in Tenafly as an assistant teacher until she retired. Helen loved working with the children and was a gifted artist that taught after school classes sharing her love of art with the children. Helen was also a member of the Daughters of Penelope. Helen was a truly amazing and remarkable woman who touched the lives of everyone that knew her. Her memory will live forever and her life will not be forgotten for all her generosity and kindness. The family will receive guests on Friday 10 AM to 12 Noon at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library".
