Giuseppe “Joe” Gramuglia
GRAMUGLIA, Joseph, 84, of Washington Township, died Sunday, April 9, 2017. He was born in Italy on Dec. 16, 1932, the son of Giuseppe Gramuglia and Teresa Auteri. He worked for many years in the embroidery industry and as a landscaper, and formerly owned Venice Liquors in Cliffside Park. He was a parishioner at St. Andrew's R.C. Church in Westwood. He was a long-time member and past president of the St. Rocco Society in Fort Lee, and past president of Bagnarese Soccer Club. He enjoyed gardening and fishing, and exceled at foraging wild mushrooms. He is survived by his cherished children, Teresa Germinario and husband Michael of Harrington Park; Christina Lenihan and husband Donal of Upper Saddle River; and Joseph Gramuglia and wife Gina of East Brunswick; his treasured grandchildren, Michael and his wife Joanna, David, Victoria, Matthew, Catherine and Alexandra; great grandchildren Giana and Julia; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 55 years, Pasqualina, in 2010. He was also predeceased by his brothers and sister. The family will receive their relatives and friends Wednesday from 4-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home, 327 Main St., Fort Lee (opposite Fort Lee Library). The funeral will leave Thursday at 10:30 am for the celebration of his Funeral Mass in the historic Madonna R.C. Church (on the hill)at 11am.
