To the entire family , i am so sorry to hear about the passing of 'Uncle Joe", lots of childhood memories come rushing back . Knowing he is in a better place is small consolation I know. But you all took such great care of him and your mom, keep that in your mind. He was well loved!

Dear Maurer Family, I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of your husband, father, grandfather. I have very good memories of spending time with them in the Poconos. In fact, it was because of them that we retired to Locust Lake in the Poconos.
Please accept my deepest condolences. Prayers will be said always remembering him and all the good times we had.
Sincerely, Peggy Schmelz
To Aunt Carol and the entire Maurer family, cousins and grandchildren. We are so sorry to hear of the passing of our beloved Uncle Joe… Our deepest sympathy from your brother Jack's children – John, Charlie, Dennis, Maryann, Bobby, Kathy, Mike, Tim and Colleen.
My deepest sympathies to Carol and her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren on the loss of Joe. What a beautiful family. Joe was a great father, loving husband, wonder grandfather, helpful sibling, terrific cousin…and The Patriach of the Maurer and Trapp families. My Mother, aka Aunt Frances, was Joe's Godmother…..an honor she cherised. As her sister Tillie & Fricky's first born — my Mother always said Joe was very special. He started the family generation of 39 first cousins (Maurers, Trapps, Snyders & Ehmans) of which Joe was #1. (I am # 36.). Joe was also the first President of the ATMA / Agnes Trapp Memorial Association.
Kerri-lynn, Maureen, Joe & Keith (and their children too) have all been loving, caring children that have helped Joe & Carol with so much love. I send hugs to Carol and the entire Maurer family. Thank you Joe for being such a wonderful cousin. xxxxx
