Horan, Margaret, "Peggy" (nee: Leahy), age 75, a 40 year resident of Leonia, passed peacefully on Sunday July 18, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Listowel, County Kerry, Ireland she immigrated to the U.S. in 1962. She was a supervisor for Bell Atlantic. Upon retirement she became a home health caregiver. Former member of the Bergen Irish Association she was known for her love of Irish set dancing.

Beloved wife of 56 years to Brendan Horan. Devoted mother of Siobhain DeMagistris and her husband Jeff. Cherished nana of Erin and Megan. Dear sister of Mary Connolly (Jim), and her brothers Willie Joe (Eileen), Pat (Mary), Teddy (Margaret), Mike (Rose) and Jerry (Mary). Adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. Cherished cousin and friend near and far.

The family will receive their friends on Friday 4-8 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Saturday at 9:30 AM for the celebration of her funeral mass in St. John R. C. Church (Leonia) at 10:00 AM.   5. Dear Brendan, Siobhain and family! Our hearts are heavy having heard the news about our wonderful Peggy. She made the world a brighter and happier place. We are consoled by the thought of a reunion in heaven filled with Irish dancing. I am sure that Felix and our mom, another Margaret, have already begun the partying. We are eternally grateful for all that Peggy did for Mom and Felix and will miss her sorely. She will always remain in our prayers. Im always reminded of Peggy as a wedding shower gift she gave me kitchen cutlery for which for over 40yrs i use every day.
