FLORIO, Mario D., age 95 of Englewood Cliffs, entered eternal life on November 17, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Mario was born in Brooklyn, NY to Italian immigrant parents Maria and Andrea Florio. Mario was the youngest of 7 boys; his brothers are all pre-deceased: Frank, Tony, Andy, Guido, Silvio, and Rocco. A lithographer by trade, Mario served in the US Army 652nd Engineer Topographic Battalion in Europe during World War II. He was a member of the ALA Local One and worked as a pressman until he retired from Kenny Press in Newark, NJ. He was an active parishioner of Holy Trinity Church of Fort Lee and was a member of their choir for several years.

Beloved husband of 58 years to Rose Mary (nee: Russo). Devoted father of Maria Verile and her husband George, Gerard Florio, Andrea Florio-Radoslovich and her husband Glauco, and Rosemary Defilippis and her husband Richard. Cherished Papa of Michael, Anthony, Joseph, Julia, Vincent, Will, Dan, Christian, and Stephanie.

He was a faith-filled man whose joy was to spend time with his family. It was easy to love Mario. His character was genuinely kind and generous. Mario was an ordinary man with an extraordinary heart. He will be sorely missed.
