Martha Massa
September 10, 1927 ~ November 26, 2022
Martha Massa (nee: Costantino) age 95 of Ridgefield, formerly of West New York, New Jersey passed peacefully at home on Saturday, November 26th 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Daughter to the late Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas and Victoria (Vicky) Costantino. Loving wife to the late Edmond G. Massa Jr. Devoted mother to Edmond G. Massa III and his wife Tina. Predeceased by her daughter Rhonda Massa on 4/29/22. Cherished grandmother of Michael, Gina, David and Marsi and Great Grandmother of Sienna and Samuel.
Martha was an amazing woman loved by her family and friends; especially by her Eddie to whom she was married for over 65 years. Martha worked as an administrative assistant to the Athletic Director at Memorial High School. But is probably most known and best remembered by her culinary skills. Martha, or “Aunt Martha” as she was affectionately known by many, was totally at home in her kitchen, aka her domain. Preparing and cooking for large gatherings of her family was her passion. Nothing gave her more pleasure than watching the smiles on the faces of her loved ones as they gathered at the table, which certainly would follow with a great cup of espresso and a “splash” of Sambuca.
Martha’s other love was spending summers down at the Jersey Shore in Chadwick Beach and then later on in Lavallette. During the winter, she would join her snowbird “family” in Florida. Family and friends would enjoy visiting and she would enjoy cooking and entertaining. Those fun times will surely be missed by all.
The family will receive their family and friends on Wednesday 11/30 3pm – 7pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library” Fort Lee NJ. Funeral and prayer service on Thursday 12/1 10:30 AM. Interment following at Fairview Cemetery. For condolences, directions, or information please call 201-944-0100 or www.frankpatti.com.

Sincere condolences to the family. Many fond memories.
Our sincere condolences to the family.
We enjoyed such great times with Martha and Edmond at the Massa’s Christmas parties. May she rest in peace.
Martha had a "joie de vivre" that was very contagious. She will be greatly missed!

Mrs. Massa had a great smile and a laugh that would fill the room. I remember so many "basement" parties that seemed to go on forever. I had the privilege to have known her because of my four+ decades old friendship with Rhonda. She was warm and loving and the times with her and her hubby were always filled with endless conversation… Especially down the shore. She will be missed.
So sorry for your loss, Ed. Sounds like she was a remarkable lady. My thoughts are with you and your family. Suzanne Denefrio
Dear Ed, your mom had to be a special lady. Just knowing you tells me a lot about her. You are kind and sensitive and a good listener. There are no words to losing a parent. You will never learn to live without her but you will learn to live with the love she left you.
