Peacefully began her new life with our Lord.
Mary Gallo was born in Palisades Park, NJ and received all her sacraments at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. After marriage, she raised her family in Suffern, NY, later moving to Folsom, NJ and Charlottesville, VA in her retirement. Her last years were spent in Glenville and Ballston Spa, NY near her son.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Julie Bowns and her son, Charles Gallo. Her extended family includes her grandchildren Allie Wilkins (Steve), Dee Keller (Joe), Jenna Gallo and Jack Gallo. Others include Mary's great-grandchildren Krislyn and Rylan Wilkins and Eli Keller. She was predeceased by her loving husband John Marcel Gallo whom she was married to for 57 years.
She is also survived by two remaining brothers, Aldolf (Al) and Peter Sambogna, and sister-in-laws Rosemary, Barbara and Nancy. She was predeceased by brothers Carl (Sonny), Nicholas, John, Anthony (Willie), sisters Rose Vukusich, Victoria (Dubie) Byrnes and sister-in-law Mary Ann.
Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews whom she loved very much. Mary enjoyed her family most of all.
The family will receive their friends on Friday 4:00- 7:00 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Saturday at 9:00 AM for the celebration of her funeral mass in St. Nicholas R.C. Church at 9:30 AM.
