Gram was quite a special lady. Mary made me feel as part of her family from the first visit to her home as just a young boyfriend to her granddaughter(Trish). I feel very fortunate to have become part of her family moving forward. She force fed me ,although she didn’t need to with her great cooking skill. That was her though.., making sure you felt comfortable. Making sure you were fed and doing well.Making you feel special . Mary had a great combination of personality : a sense of humor & genuine care.,with a touch of stubborn (: writing Mary for the sake of this post seems odd as..I called Mary “gram” — and it felt natural and accepted. , as that’s what she felt like to me. Gram LOVEd her family most of all. Her kids ,grandkids, great grandkids etc,. (even in-law grandkids:) . Mary will surely be missed and while leaving us with so many memories, she will always be remembered. -Chris

A Tribute to MaryA Tribute to Mary:
Mary was always full steam ahead! She was always cheerful and delightful, and so full of life, which no doubt, was instilled from the warmth and compassion she shared and received from her loving family and friends. Truly she was always so highly spirited in a way that when you would see her, she would always add a sparkle to your eyes while adding an extra beat to your heart. As she extended her gentle and kind hand or wrapped you with her warm and tightened embrace, you could feel her loving energy flowing from within.
Yes she was a skillful and almighty chef, wielding a spoon or a whisk to anyone that came near her table and would wield it once more if you didn’t sit at her table and eat! And so, while the delicious scent from the kitchen permeated the house with a pleasant aroma, her constant and unstoppable boisterous laughter also filled any nooks or crannies that were left unbuttered.
Although we will no longer hear her true laughter, her laughter will be shared with all the loved ones we miss and loved in the past. And so, I say to all — the next time thunder cracks through the clouds – – Remember this – – Mary is now stirring the heavens and yelling “Bingo!”
With loving memories,
The Longo Family
