"Our mom was honest, hard working, and did things “the right way”. Her kindness was only surpassed by her selflessness. She never put herself first and always went out of her way to make everyone feel welcome. She was a strong fighter who gave everything she had for 11 long years. Although she’s had ups and downs along the way, you wouldn’t know it by looking at her. She would never be without that smile that lit up a room and was always looking to be as warm and inclusive as possible.

She was a loyal wife, an incredible mother, a loving sister, an aunt that her nieces and nephews could count on and a phenomenal grandmother. She was a role model and a person to look up to not only for her own children, but for many others. The amount of lives she touched and the effect she had on people is simply awe inspiring. She opened her home to many people who needed help and every Thanksgiving she would open her home to her large family, but also to any of her children’s friends that may not have a place to go.

There will never be another person that could remotely even come close to how special our Mom was and for that we are eternally grateful and proud to call her our mom. We will see her again, but until then, she will be looking out for each and every one of us from heaven…..just as she did when she was still here with u

  5. Maureen was my first crush freshman year at Saints. On a snow day, I took the #14 Red and Tan from Westwood to Cresskill. I remember walking down the hill to her house. She answered the door with her hair up and in her bathrobe. We spoke for 20 minutes thru the storm door. I did not get invited in. I trudged back up the hill to the northbound #14 and went home heartbroken.
