Nick was born in Montegiordano, Italy on December 20, 1937 to Ettore and Margherita Pisani. At 13, he sailed to America where he worked during the day and attended night school to learn English. When he was 26, he returned to Italy where he met Rose and married her one month later. In 1965 Nick opened a dry cleaning and tailor shop with his wife and father in West New York, where they stayed in business until 2000.
