Raymond C. Carney
September 25, 1935 ~ February 28, 2022
Carney, Raymond C., age 86, a 50 year resident of Palisades Park, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Monday February 28, 2022. He was born in Jersey City and raised in Hoboken. He was a career Teamster for Local #560 who ran twice for Local President. A deeply religious man he was very active in both St. Michael’s and St. John’s parishes. He had a positive impact on anyone he met and will be greatly missed.
Beloved husband of 59 years of the late Antoinette (nee: Sica). Devoted father of Ann Genovesi and her husband Joe, Jennifer Carney, Christine Sassano and her husband Pete, Erin Carney, Sean and Diane Carney, Ray and Heather Carney and Joseph Carney. Cherished grandfather of Nicolette, Sean, Peter, Ryan, Joseph, Anthony, Danny, Megan, Jimmy, Hallie, Lindsey, Max, Drew, Liam, Aidan, Finn, and Raegan. Adored great grandfather of Sophia. Dear brother of Marilyn Caliguire. He will be missed by all who knew him.
The family will receive their friends on Thursday 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. The funeral will leave Friday at 10:30 AM for the celebration of his funeral mass in St. John’s R. C. Church at 11:00 AM.
