Pizzute, Robert J. "Bob"age 66 died on Saturday January 28th. Raised in Teaneck, he maintained lifelong friendships from his school days and from the Teaneck IHOP. He married his wife of 44 years on January 6, 1973. They raised their two children in Bergenfield. He worked for Met Life for 37 years where he was the Director of Sports Promotion and the Blimp and later he became the Assistant Vice President in charge of Conference Planning and Event Services. After retirement, he spent most of the year in the sun with his friends in Jensen Beach, Florida. Bob was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Margaret Pizzute and his brother John. He is survived by Lydia Allaix Pizzute, his wife of 44 years. He was the father of Rob (Bobby) Pizzute and his wife Rosanne and grandfather to Natalia and Marco. He was also the father of Christine (Christy) Chauvet-Pizzute, MD, her husband Cedric and their children Sylvie, Anais and Elie. The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 4-8 pm at the Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library." The funeral will leave Wednesday at 10:15 AM for the celebration of his funeral mass in Holy Trinity in Hackensack. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. Mr. Pizzute in my eyes will always be remembered as a quiet, distinguished man. I remember the many times I met him. May he rest and peace and now watch over the family. Although he may have been taken away too soon, he will always be remembered.

So sad to hear this. Condolences to all the family. Will cherish the laughs shared with bob in our travels and as he tried to help me with my pathetic golf game.
I am so sadden by Bob's passing. I was assigned to travel onsite with Bob and the Met Life team several times and Bob always went out of his way to make me feel welcomed. He was a great story teller and knew how to get those around him laughing. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

I can't tell you how sorry we are over Bob's passing. We had such wonderful memories of him. Playing golf, the fishing trips and just great conversation. he is truly missed.
