Rosaria L. Cilia, "Sadie", who lived over 101 years, a resident of Fort Lee for over 65 years, passed peacefully on February 12th, 2023. Born in New York City she was raised in Ragusa Sicily where she was trained as a tailor. After the war, she returned to the United States with her husband and daughter in 1947. Upon the birth of her second daughter she moved to NJ and began to work as a seamstress for Evan Piccone of North Bergen for almost 30 years before retiring. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas RC Church. She will be always be remembered as a phenomenal cook and a hospitable host. She loved people and people loved her, she will be missed.

Beloved wife of the late Giovanni Cilia. Devoted mother of Connie Palmiotto and her husband Tony, and Josephine Cilia. Cherished grandmother of Anthony John Palmiotto. Adored Nonna of Ava and Olivia.

The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 4-8 pm at the Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street, Fort Lee. The funeral will leave on Friday at 10:30 am for the celebration of her funeral mass in St. Nicholas RC Church (Palisades Park) at 11am. For further information call (201) 944-0100.
