Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Sending our heartfelt condolences- always loved catching up with Susie at the Leonia school events especially our memorable conversation about Joe Pepitone. Love Ilene and Karl Marquardt

  2. Susan was the quintessential teacher. She taught both of my children and they learned so much from her. Her way of working with middle school students ( especially “at risk” boys) was one that very very few teachers possess. She will now be in heaven with one of her greatest fans: my son Jason, who adored her ❤️ Rest In Peace, Susan.

  3. She was an extraordinary woman and teacher!! She will be greatly missed!!! Love from Teresa O’Connell-Turek and Daniel and Kierstyn Klingner ❌⭕️❌⭕️❤️

  4. My deepest condolences to you all. I had the wonderful opportunity to work with Susan at LMS. She was amazing and taught me so much. May your memories bring you comfort during this difficult time.

  5. I was an awkward new girl, starting the 8th grade, and Mrs Pawlick was so very warm and kind. She was one of those people who brightened every room, and she was one of those teachers who sparked a love of learning in her students. My sincerest condolences to her family. She will be so very missed.

  6. Susan was my dearest friend at Leonia Middle School. Her kind heart and expertise uplifted so many. Bobby, I’ll always remember you driving into the circle by my office window and singing, “where’s my beautiful wife?” Susan, May your eternal soul shine brightly always.

  7. Sue touched so many lives, a truly selfless human being. She had a joy that surrounded her and she freely gave that joy to theirs. I believe she is up in Heaven tutoring others on being better heavenly beings. Our condolences Bobby, Robert, Emily and family.

  8. To the teacher that made me realize what reality was. You taught me not only so much about life, but how important it is to cherish it. You were the reason why i graduated highschool. i was definitely not the best student in english class, but you made sure i got through it no matter what. Even if you weren’t my teacher that year. I appreciate you more than anything and i hope your resting in paradise. i love you to the moon & back. look over me ❤️

  9. A life measured in giving! Sal was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her. I was lucky enough to have taught with her and I am proud to have been her friend. Condolences to her family.

  10. I never got to know Susan, however, I did see her and Bob at fire department functions like Chief’s Night, parties, and funerals. I noticed how she was able to bring a positive energy to whatever group that she was a part of. I can only imagine what a wonderful and caring school teacher she was. During this Thanksgiving season, we can all give thanks for Susan being a part of our lives.
    Blessings to all the family,

  11. We were friends with Bobby and Sue at many Yankee Games over fun years at the old stadium, and the new.
We celebrated Super Bowl parties together as well.
Sue was a beautiful woman, inside and out and we are so very shocked and sorry to learn she has passed. Our very sincere condolences to Bobby, Robert, and Emily.
    May Sue Rest In Peace.
    Your friends,

  13. I was a student of Mrs. Pawlick in 2014-2015. It seems long ago to me now, but I remember every second of my 8th grade English class with her. I don't exaggerate by saying she was one of the most influential teachers/mentors I have ever had. She had a profound effect on both my academic and personal life, and her teaching still guides me throughout my life to this day. She will be missed.

  14. I taught with Sue for a number of years. She was all generosity and grace with her advice and help. She helped me be a better teacher. She will be missed. My sincere condolences for your loss. Bernice Reesbeck.

  15. Bobby, I am so sorry for your loss, Susan was a wonderful woman. My sincere condolences to the Pawlick family.

  16. Mrs. Pawlick was my teacher, mentor, and sincere friend to me and my family. Aside from being a wonderful instructor who introduced me to "To Kill a Mockingbird" amongst other classics of American literature, she was a confidant who helped me as an early adolescent get through eighth grade. I could go on for paragraphs about how much she meant to me and my sister. Leonia will miss a shining star of the community!

  17. Sue was an exceptional teacher but also a genuine person. We are lucky to have wonderful memories of her, both personally and and as our children's teacher. Jack and I are sadden by her loss and all she meant.
We send our thoughts and love to Bobby, Emily and Robert.

    Florence and Jack Murphy

  18. An inspiration to so many that walked in and out of her classroom. I for one am blessed to have known this great educator. She will be missed but her lessons will never be forgotten. Prayers and love to the family.

  19. I was so saddened to hear of the passing of my beloved English teacher from 1983. Gone too soon.
She left was an exceptional and memorable teacher because she was so kind, compassionate personable, energetic, and she knew how to make literature interesting to 7th graders, which is no easy task!
