I love and treasure Mr. Kang. His light and love was felt by all and we are all lucky to have been in his life. I will feel and carry that warmth and love with me always.

Kang, Yil Nam, age 90, was a long-time resident of both Montclair and Fort Lee, New Jersey. He passed peacefully at his home on Monday September 23, 2024.
He was born in Seoul, Korea and came to the United States at the age of 21 in 1955. After earning his BS in Chemistry, he began his career with Pamarco Industries as a chemical engineer. Later, he became the owner and President of D. Simon Plating Company in Manhattan. Beloved husband of Unok nee; Kim for over 60 years. Devoted father of Jane Park and her husband John, Lisa Kang and her husband Michael Moon. Cherished grandpa of Victoria and Alexa. Loving brother of An Hong Kang, Jin Soo Kang and Chang Wha Chung.
The family will receive their family and friends on Saturday September 28th at 12:00 PM for a Religious Service in the Frank A. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Kang. He was always so kind, welcoming, and full of warmth whenever we visited on the weekends. His gentle spirit and generosity made everyone feel at home, and I will always cherish the memories of his kindness. He will be truly missed.
