Vigna, Angela, nee:DeMiglio, age 86, of Cliffside Park, passed away on Friday May 31, 2024. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Adolfo Vigna and his 6 beloved children Alfonso(Diane)Vigna, Robert Vigna, John (Dawn)Vigna, Angela Vigna, MaryAnn (Thomas) Battaglia and Joanne(Vincent)Guastella, nine grandchildren Jenna, Michael, Anthony, Eric, Brielle, Diana, Vincent, Frank and Joseph and three great grandchildren Eva, Lucas and Adrianna.
She is also survived by her siblings, Rachel Lee, Frances Ferrara and Ronald DeMiglio and predeceased by her brothers, Joseph DeMiglio, Peter DeMiglio and Paul DeMiglio and her parents predeceased her. Angela will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In 1957 a young man name Adolfo had his eye after a beautiful woman named Angela and finally asked her out. They were married 17 months later. In her 20’s she worked for a National Lead Company and declined a promotion to be an Executive Secretary in order to start raising a big family.
She was a parishioner at St. Johns Church of Fairview and Epiphany Church of Cliffside Park for many years and took part as a Eucharistic Minister and taught Catechism classes.
She will be lovingly remembered for her many childhood memories on 7th street, Jersey City, her beautiful smile, great laugh, quick wit and religious faith. She had a kindness about her that drew people to her. She also loved walks with her loving husband in Edgewater, Belmar, Barnegat and Cape May. She also loved to sing and dance with her grandchildren. Her biggest enjoyment was cooking and taking of her family
The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. The funeral will leave Wednesday at 9:15 AM for the celebration of her funeral mass in Epiphany RC Church at 09:45 AM. Entombment will follow the funeral mass at Madona Mausoleum.
