Carmelo Antonio Virgilio Stellino Gallico, age 73, a 43 year resident of Leonia, passed on Wednesday February 19, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Palmi, Italy he served in the U.S Army and was a proud veteran. He earned both his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Montclair State University. He worked as a teacher in several districts in the state and finished his career as a Graphic Design Teacher for the Bergenfield School District. He served as a high school Soccer Coach for Nutley High School. He was a master carpenter, an amateur Sommelier and buongustaio, a lover of Italian film and literature, an athlete and an avid cyclist. He was proud of his competition in the Maratona delle Dolomites. Beloved husband of 46 years to Calogera LaRocca. Devoted father of Laura Antonella and Stefania Loris. Dear brother of Anthony and Vincenzo.

The family will receive their friends on Sunday February 23rd from 2:00 – 3:00 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street Fort Lee. Memorial service Sunday 3 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
