Korinko, Christine nee: Buickerood age 78 on March 14, 2025, of Greensboro, North Carolina formerly of Cliffside Park, New Jersey. Loving wife to the late John Korinko. Devoted mother to Deborah Kiss, son-in-law Timothy Kiss, son Michael Korinko and daughter-in-law Nicole Korinko. Proud grandmother to Jonathan Kiss, Reese Korinko and Reagan Korinko. Cherished sister to Michael Buickerood, Darrel Buickerood and his wife Karen, John Buickerood, George Buickerood and his wife Lisa, sister-in-law Marge Buickerood. Dear aunt to eight nieces and nephews and their spouses and children. Predeceased by her brother Glenn Buickerood.
Christine was born in Staten Island, New York to the late Harry and Muriel Buickerood nee: Peterson. She was affectionately called Sis by her immediate and extended family alike. She grew up in Tottenville and enjoyed spending the summers with her family down the Jersey Shore.
She met John, the love of her life, while working together at Western Electric in Manhattan. They settled in Cliffside Park and were members of Epiphany Church where they made lifelong friends. Throughout their marriage of almost forty years, Chris and John were the happiest of couples. Their love and devotion to each other and their family was an inspiration to all.
Christine was a Deputy Registrar for the Borough of Fort Lee when she retired in 2007. She moved to Greensboro to be close to family and care for her mother.
As her children married and had children of their own, family vacations became a great source of joy for Christine. From beach trips to European adventures, she created memories that will be forever cherished by her children and grandchildren.
Christine had a beautiful smile, great sense of humor and brought laughter and fun wherever she went. She was kind, generous and nurturing. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to be a part of her life.
The family will receive their friends on Friday 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. All are asked to assemble on Saturday at 10:45 AM for the celebration of her funeral mass in Madonna R.C. Church On The Hill, 2070 Hoefley's Lane, Fort Lee at 11:00 AM.
