Daniel Han Woo Lee

Daniel Han Woo Lee, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 75.

Born on March 28, 1949, in Seoul, South Korea, to parents Shi-Jong Lee and Yung-Hee Lim, Daniel grew up in a loving and resilient family. After graduating from Kyungbok high school in
1968, Daniel studied engineering and graduated from Seoul National University in 1972. After working at Hyundai, he traveled to the United States to further his education, earning a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1980.

In August 1981, Daniel married Grace Lee, with whom he built a life until she passed in July 2018. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Lee, her husband, Ken Brevoort, and their children, Dylan and Aidan Brevoort-Lee; his son, Albert Lee, his wife, Rachel Lee, and their children, Elise, Lydia, Nathaniel, and Hannah Lee.

He is also survived by his siblings, Renee Kwak, Yung-Woo Lee, Myungja Imm, Keun Ja Lee, and Samuel Lee, as well as his many beloved nieces and nephews: Eunice Kwak, Amy Kwak, Alvin Kwak, Jiyeun Lee, Sangyeup Lee, Howard Woo, Charles Woo, Sooyeon Woo, Sarah Lee, David Lee, Young Joon Lee, Cathy Graham, Tina Gellatly Imm, David Lee, Hannah Lee, and Grace Sung.

Daniel’s life was marked by resilience, intelligence, and an adventurous spirit. He loved the outdoors, spontaneous road trips, and spending time reading the news. His warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the lives he touched.

A viewing will be held on February 14 at 8:00 PM at Frank Patti & Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home in Fort Lee, NJ. A burial service will take place on February 15 at 11:00 AM at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, NJ.
