Despina Lambrinides

Lambrinides, Despina nee: Axarle, age 86, of Palisades Park, on April 29, 2015 surrounded by the comfort of her children. Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, she came to this country with her husband George and 2 children in 1956 in search of a better life for themselves and their family. They settled in Union City before moving to Palisades Park over 40 years ago. Despina and her husband owned the Miss Jersey City Diner and was a homemaker. In her retirement years, she worked at Lindbergh School as an aid for 19 years, a job that brought her much happiness. Her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her beloved of 50 years, George. She is survived by her daughters, Eleni Lambrinides and Eftihia Theodoridis, her son, Thomas Lambrinides, (George Heimel); her grandchildren, George Dontas, Stelios Dontas, Aleko Theodoridis (Eva), Despina Dontas Martinez (Alexis Martinez) and the light of her life, her great grand-daughter Olivia Eleni Martinez. The family will receive their friends on Friday 3-5 & 7-9 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Saturday 10:00 AM for Religious Services in the Greek Orthodox Church of the Ascension at 10:30 AM.
