Eileen M. Sirignano

Eileen Sirignano (nee Sweeney), age 74 of Edgewater NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, April l8, 2024.

Eileen is predeceased by her beloved husband Neil to whom she was married for 30 years, her parents John and Ethel Sweeney and brothers William Sweeney and John (Jack) Sweeney and his wife Maureen (nee Sullivan). She is survived by her dear sister and health advocate  Doreen Mackin and her husband Michael, brother Dennis Sweeney and wife Marcella as well as nieces Katherine Thorngren, and husband Shawn, Meghan Reisig and husband Jim, nephews Matthew Mackin, Sean Sweeney and Brendan Sweeney and great nieces  Shiloh Noelle Thorngren and Ella Rae Reisig.

Born in 1949 Eileen was a lifelong Edgewater resident who attended the Edgewater school system and graduated from Leonia High School. She was employed as a Bookkeeper for the Edgewater National Bank for many years, and later returned to the Edgewater school system as a Lunch Aid/Bus Aid.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 1st. at 10:-11:30am followed by a 12:00pm  funeral mass at Holy Rosary Church in Edgewater. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
