Elias P. Bartkow

Bartkow, Elias, P. "Sonny", age 79, of Ridgefield Park, on August 23, 2019.

Survived by his longtime companion, Shirley Villareal. Also survived by two daughters, Bonnie Dorsey and Stephanie, and Shirley's children who he loved as his own. Also survived by eight grandchildren.

Sonny worked at the Probation Division of Bergen County for 25 years, where he nurtured many friendships and was adored by everyone. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, and scratching off instant lottery tickets. He faced a number of challenges throughout his life, and confronted them all with courage, acceptance, and a smile. He was a true inspiration.

While this world will miss Sonny, his love for his family and friends will always endure.

The family will receive their friends on Monday 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. Prayer Service to follow at 7:30 PM.
