Elizabeth A. Keane passed away in Saddle River, New Jersey on September 19,2024. Aunt Betty as she was known is survived by her sister-in-law Marvinia Keane and her nephews and their spouses James Sullivan (Marianne Sullivan) Peter Sullivan (Andrea Sullivan) and her nieces and their spouses Jennifer Rowan (Frank Rowan) and Rosemary Keane Roseo (Sandro Roseo).  In addition, she is survived by 12 grand nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Sullivan Moriarty and spouse Dennis Moriarty, Brian Sullivan, Jack Sullivan and spouse (Emma Sullivan), Kate Sullivan, Alexandra Sirles Duran and her spouse (Alex Duran) Michael Sirles and his spouse, (Alexandria) Cecilia Keane Roseo, Julianna Keane Roseo, Gabriel Keane Roseo, Lyyne Rowan, Kayleigh Rowan Matook and her spouse (Nick Arvada) and Melissa Rowan DeWalt and her spouse (Ben DeWalt).  She is also survived by 7 great grand nieces and nephews, Reagan Moriarty, Colette Moriarty, Sebastion Sullivan, Noah Sirles, Aiden Sirles, Adelaide Matook and Holden Matook.  She is predeceased by her parents who emigrated from Ireland; Martin Keane-Williamstown, Galway and Bridget O’Grady- Moyvane, Kerry, Her sister Mary K. Sullivan and spouse James F. Sullivan, brother Martin “Buddy” Keane, Aunt Elizabeth “Bep” O’Grady, her longtime partner Thomas Dawson and numerous other Aunts and Uncles. And most recently her niece Maureen Sullivan Sirles.

Betty was born in Brooklyn New York and maintained lifelong friendships from the neighborhood as far back as kindergarten. She was a long time and active parishioner of the Holy Trinity in Fort Lee and was a member of the Rosary Society. Betty loved being with family and friends whether it was spending summers down at Spring Lake years ago, family gatherings around the holidays, or parties at “Fitz’s” and meeting the “girls” for lunch.

Visiting hours will be at the Frank Patti Funeral Home on Monday, September 23rd, from 3:00pm-7:00pm and the Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, September 24th at Holy trinity Church in Fort Lee at 10:30am.
