Hovig Jingirian

On Sunday, June 21, 2020, Hovig Jingirian, devoted husband and father, passed away at the age of 82, in Nutley, NJ, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born in 1938, Aleppo Syria, son of Hagop and Vergine Jingirian. After serving in the military, he moved to Beirut, Lebanon and jumped into the field of optician. He was married in Beirut to Sossie (nee: DerManuelian) and established a successful business as an optician and optometrist.

In 1984, he moved with his family to the United States, for a better life. He continued working as an optician at Linwood Optical, in Fort Lee, NJ, until his retirement in 2019.

He picked up woodworking early in life and was handy with variety of tools.

He had a love for life. Always cheerful and dedicated to his family. He loved helping and always available to assist at church services. He had passion for life and brought smiles to many.

He is survived by his wife Sossie, his 2 sons, Ara and Vram, his sister Hasmig and brother Sarkis.
