It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Diaz, a beloved husband, father, and World War II veteran, at the age of 97. A lifelong resident of New York City, he proudly contributed to the city’s iconic skyline as a structural engineer, including his work on the construction of the George Washington Bridge, a project that he always cherished.
John served with honor in World War II, a period that shaped his character and resilience. He was a loving husband to his wife Angelina, and a devoted father to his daughter Angie. His family was his greatest joy. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
May he rest in peace.
