Maureen J Hagan

Maureen J Hagan died peacefully surrounded by immediate family on August 18th, 2023. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, and cousins in Ireland.

She was a devoted mother, wife, and friend who dedicated her life to her loved ones and actively supported social and political causes for a more equitable, just, and peaceful world.

Later in life, she retired and moved to Ireland with her spouse, Frank Hagan. While in Ireland, she connected with the birthplace of her parents, William and Josephine Rodgers, and cherished times spent with her cousins. Before Frank’s passing, Frank and Maureen returned to the United States to live their remaining years close to their children and grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held in celebration of Maureen’s life on Saturday, August 26th at 9:30am at Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart in Yonkers, New York. According to her last wishes, the family also plans to hold a private ceremony in the Mourne Mountains of Ireland.
