Maximino M. Bello

It is with great sorrow that we inform family and friends of the passing of our beloved Maximino M. Bello of Englewood Cliffs, NJ on March 25, 2024.

Maximino, fondly known as Max, was born to Maximo and Rosa Bello, on February 24,1945, in Havana, Cuba. He left Cuba at the age of 15 with an uncle to stay with family in Asturias, Spain for a few years. He then reunited with his family in the United States where he became a proud Cuban American. Max attended Georgia Military Academy where he studied Architecture. In his pursuit of further success, he decided to learn the family business and began working at his father’s bakery in New York City. Here he met the love of his life, Gladys Soto, wife of 58 years.

Following in his father’s footsteps, he went on to open his own successful businesses allowing him to provide a beautiful life for his family. Max was a loving family man and a great friend to many. Always a charming gentleman, and life of the party. He had a wonderful heartfelt speech to tell at any gathering, he was a great joke teller and never turned down the opportunity to sing on a microphone or recite a poem. Aside from enjoying life to the fullest, he also enjoyed golfing, the opera and dining out with friends. He will be truly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Max is survived by his wife Gladys and two children, Denise and Dianna. His three precious grandchildren Eva Rose, Adrian Max, and Elyse Noelle, who were the light of his life.
