Nicholas J. Dowling

Nicholas J. Dowling, “Nicky” age 76 of Edgewater, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 13, 2024.  Born in New York, he was an Army Veteran of Vietnam and served as a Corporal.   He worked as a salesman for Agsco of Hasbrouck Heights.   He was a member of the Edgewater American Legion.  He enjoyed traveling and exploring new restaurants and cuisine.

Beloved husband of Susan Ingold.   Dear brother of Margaret Petersen and her husband Dennis.  Cherished stepfather of Scott Ingold and his wife Jessica.  Adored grandfather of Eric, Aaron, Danielle, and Matthew.    Dear great grandfather of Madison Rose.

The family will receive friends on Friday 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street Fort Lee.  A memorial service will begin promptly at 12:00 pm.   In lieu of flowers donation may be made to either Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.  For more information call (201) 944-0100.
