Nicolo Romana

Nicolo Romana, age 88 , of Fort Lee, formerly of Palisades Park, NJ, passed peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday January 9th, 2024. Born in Caltavuturo Sicily, Italy he immigrated to the United States in 1962. He was the Owner of Romana Builders & Son of Palisades Park. His passion was work, building residential homes throughout Northern Bergen County. Always the first on the job and the last to leave. His life was truly devoted to work and his family.

Beloved husband of 62 years to Salvatrice (nee: Impallaria). Devoted father of Mario Romana and his wife Kathleen, Joseph Romana and his wife Annamaria, and Grace Esposito and her husband Alan. Cherished Nonno of Gina, Anthony, Daniela, Sabrina, Nicolo, Jake and Lauren. Dear brother of Grazia, Tanina, Rosario, Paolo, and Salvatore. Pre-deceased by siblings Calogero, Pino and Mario.

The family will receive their friends on Thursday from 3-8 pm at the Frank Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street Fort Lee. Those wishing to attend the funeral may arrive at the funeral home at 9am Friday, the funeral will leave at 9:30 am for the celebration of his funeral mass in St. Nicholas RC Church (Palisades Park) at 10 am.
