Peter Bernardini

Bernardini, Peter, age 99, of Fort Lee, on Tuesday October 3, 2017. Born in the Bronx he was a veteran of the Army in World War II who participated in the D-Day invasion. He worked for the Court of the Boro of Fort Lee. He was a member of the Fort Lee VFW Cariola-Barber Post #2342 and was a parishioner and usher of the Church of the Madonna. An artist and sculptor by nature he was known for his talent and his commitment to the care and maintenance of his home and garden. Beloved husband of 70 years to Palma (nee: Mancini). Devoted father of Richard Bernardini and his wife Judith and Dennis Bernardini and his wife Doreen. Cherished grandfather of Jeff, David, Tonya, Robert and Ryan. Adored great grandfather of Marissa, Logan, Rocco, Niklas and Ryan Jr. Dear brother of Susan Manning. The family will receive their friends on Monday 3-7 pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library". The funeral will leave Tuesday at 10:30 am for the celebration of his funeral mass in Madonna R.C.
