Philip M. Purcel

February 27, 1951 — December 16, 2024

Philip M. Purcel

Phil passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday December 16, 2024 in Cresskill, New Jersey.
Born to Walter and Arlene Purcel in Jersey City on February 27, 1951, Phil grew up spending his
youth in Palisades Park, N.J.  After graduating from Palisades Park High School in 1970, Phil
went on to work in the Transportation Industry until his retirement in 2018.
Phil was admired and loved by his nephews Jason and Nicholas, as well as his brother
Charlie.  He was a warm and generous brother, and colleague, who never hesitated to offer his
help to someone in need, and always had a kind word or thought for those whose life he touched.
His quiet unassuming personality was both shared and welcomed by friends and acquaintances
alike.  His interests included Professional and Collegiate Sports, as well as World History & Politics.
He will be missed and thought of with much love, and it is our true hope that he is now resting
peacefully along with his mother and father, as well as many close family and friends at Madonna
Mausoleum in Fort Lee, New Jersey.
While not always in our presence he was, and remains, always in our hearts.
