Roger Haenelt

Haenelt, Roger age 76, of Leonia, on Wednesday April 18, 2018. A lifetime resident of Leonia he was a Video Tape Editor for the American Broadcasting Company, NYC currently Disney. A member of the NABET, Local 16, Life and Exempt member of the Leonia Volunteer Fire Department for over 50 years. Roger was the Grand Marshall in the 2014 Leonia Memorial Day Parade and an Honorary Fire Chief. He was nominated by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences 18 times for Outstanding Video Tape Editing and is a 9 time Emmy Winner. As a member of the Leonia Ambulance Corps he met his wife Frances. Roger, who always was a Leonian first, extended his boundaries to Chatham, Cape Cod every summer. Beloved husband of the late Frances nee; Cummings. Devoted father of Lisa Haenelt, David Haenelt and his wife Kristen. Cherished grandfather of Amanda and Lauren. The family will receive their friends on Sunday 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street "opposite the Fort Lee Library".
