Vartan Vartanian

Vartan Vartanian, “Walter” age 88, of Marlboro, NY formerly of Fort Lee, NJ, passed peacefully on Tuesday July 23^rd, 2024.   Born In New York City, Walter was an Auto Mechanic and was self Employed.  He owned and operated the Hackensack Exxon.  He was an avid sports fan of the New York Rangers and the New York Yankees.   He loved his brand of cars, he was especially fond of the American made Buick, a true fan of red International Harvester Tractors, as well as having a deep knowledge of trains, he was passionate of all things railroad.  A kind and honest man who was loved by all.

Devoted son of the late Garabed and Kouhar Vartanian.   Dearest brother of Martha Conway and her late husband James.   Adored uncle of Julia Conway and James Conway and his wife Kathryn.   Cherished great uncle Michael Conway.

The family will receive their friends on Monday 10- 10:30 am at St. Thomas Armenian Church Tenafly.   Funeral service will begin at 10:30 am.  Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park (Paramus).  If so desired donations may be made to St. Thomas Armenian Church Tenafly.  For more information call (201) 944-0100.
