Veglia "Francesca" Ivaldi

Veglia Francesca (Delprino) Ivaldi, age 97, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, in her Palisades Park home. She was born on May 8, 1925, in Nizza Monferrato, Asti, Italy, to parents Vittorio Delprino and Caterina Ferrettino and later immigrated to the United States in 1955. She is predeceased by her husband Aldo Ivaldi and siblings Zanetta (Delprino) Zandrino and Francesco Delprino. She is survived by her children Diane Ivaldi and David Ivaldi (Lauren Musto), adored grandchildren Robert and Stephanie Lodico, dear brother Olindo Delprino of Italy, and several nieces and nephews. Francesca’s loved ones will remember her as a fiercely independent woman who was always looking for the next gelateria.

The family will receive their friends on Tuesday from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library” . All are asked to assemble Wednesday at the Historic Madonna R.C Church on the Hill at 9:30 AM for her Memorial Mass, followed by her innichement at Madonna Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers the family would greatly appreciate and asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
