William Camal

Camal, William, L , age 83, of Fort Lee, on Saturday February 24, 2018. He was born in New York City and was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He started Fort Lee Judo in 1972 and went on to teach Judo in the Fort Lee Rec Program for over thirty years working with thousands of Fort Lee youth. He was the Cultural Director of the Fort Lee Public Library for over 30 years and was a noted and accomplished artist. He was President of the Fort Lee Artists Guild and won many State and Local Best of Show art awards. Beloved husband of the late Dora Alice (nee:Murphy). Devoted father of William, Christopher, Anthony and Michael Camal. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren. Dear brother of George and Bertha. The family will receive their friends on Monday 4-8pm at the Frank A. Patti and Kenneth Mikatarian Funeral Home 327 Main Street “opposite the Fort Lee Library”. The funeral will leave Tuesday at 10:30 am for the celebration of his funeral mass in Madonna R.C. Church On The Hill at 11:00 AM.
