Joan L.

My 59 year old husband died suddenly in April. We had only spoken of cremation in our lifetime together. I had no intention of having a wake for Erik but the outpouring of support, I felt, should be met and his life honored.

From my first phone call to Frank Patti, I felt supported by the services and staff. Erik’s death was sudden and shocking and this was nothing I had in mind for the next days of my life including getting Erik from New York to New Jersey. It was important to me to have a location that felt like home, allowed for mine and Erik’s quirks to be catered to and in an appropriate and caring way. Despite covid protocols, the room was so spacious and I more than appreciated that it was just our time there with no other scheduled wakes.

Richard was wonderful helping me plan with no plan, with a kind and gentle lead. He and John especially, and Robert also onsite, attended to my every whim, change and ask, patiently, kindly and generously. They attended to our guests yet made me a priority. Experiencing such an unexpected tragedy, they made me feel like family.
