Oskihan Sesetyan was born on January 21, 1946 in Sepastia, Turkey, the 8th child of Dikran and Elmas Sesetyan, who were both survivors of the Armenian Genocide. He went to Istanbul to attend Tibrevank Academy when he was 11 years old where he met his lifelong best friend, Diran Kilerciyan.
He married his second best friend, Nazik Sesetyan on July 16th 1972 and they completed their family with their two daughters, Talar and Talin. Both Oski and Nazik were teachers. Oski was a mathematics teacher at Getronagan.
He was the first to form the Tibrevank Alumni Association community center in Istanbul.
Oski moved his family to the U.S. in 1983 to Broomall, PA where with the help of his soon to be loyal friend Hagop Ishkanian, he obtained a career as a software engineer, and Nazik was an Armenian teacher at the Armenian Sisters Academy.
They moved to Paramus, NJ in 1989 where he continued his work in software by developing the accounting system for 6th Avenue Electronics which allowed them to expand from 1 small store in NYC to multiple locations in NJ.
He then worked at the St. Vartan Cathedral Bookstore creating its first ever catalog booklet and expanding its offerings to books, gifts, jewelry from Armenia. He loved this job very much as he loved reading.
He then became a business owner for the next 20 years until his retirement.
During this time he spent much time traveling with Nazik all over the world, and enjoying his grandchildren Ari, Maral, Lori, Mario, Saro and Shant—all of whom he loved watching grow through their young years.
