At Frank Patti Funeral Directors, we pre-fund funeral arrangements through Choices™ – The New Jersey Pre-Paid Funeral Trust Fund, a secure and accessible funding option available immediately upon passing. Unlike traditional savings accounts, which may become inaccessible at the time of death, this trust ensures funds are readily available to cover funeral expenses.

How It Works

During the prearrangement process, you will select the specific funeral services and merchandise you desire. Your funeral director will provide a fully itemized statement based on today’s prices and establish a trust fund agreement for the total amount. If prepaying for SSI/Medicaid eligibility, we will ensure the agreement meets program requirements. Your prepayment is made payable to the New Jersey Prepaid Funeral Trust Fund™, with copies of your contract and payment sent to the trustees at the New Jersey State Funeral Directors Association.

SSI/Medicaid & General Assistance

If you or a loved one may soon apply for SSI, Medicaid, or General Assistance, we encourage you to contact us. Federal and state laws allow properly trusted funeral funds to be excluded from asset calculations when determining eligibility. This ensures your funeral expenses are covered while preserving financial assistance for other essential needs.
