Mr. Bello was the nicest father of any friend I ever had. My first memory was meeting him and Mrs. Bello when I was in college. Denise invited me over to their house. The fanciest house I’d ever been too. Everyone in the house was fancy. But the kindness I received from Mr. Bello and his wife made me understand…I was welcome. I’m a middle-aged man now, and I’ll always remember his simple gesture of making me feel welcome.
